季節の移ろいをアコースティック楽器を中心としたアンサンブルで紡ぐ、
Wool Stringsの単独名義では前作より11年ぶり、４枚目のフルアルバム。Spinning the changing of the seasons through an ensemble centered on acoustic instruments,
this is Wool Strings' fourth full-length album, and its first under the Wool Strings name alone in 11 years.

2015年に録音された「sleeping sun」を始めとして、10年間に渡って断続的に本作の制作は進められました。
絵本のように温かみのある本作のアートワークは、イラストレーターの須山奈津希が担当しています。
そのアートワークにインスピレーションを受ける形で、「bells」の世界は少しずつ形作られていきました。Work on this album went on intermittently over ten years, beginning with “sleeping sun,” recorded in 2015.
The artwork, warm like a picture book, is by illustrator Natsuki Suyama.
Inspired by that artwork, the world of “bells” took shape little by little.

2024年に俳優の根矢涼香と共作したEP「psukhe」からの繋がりで、本作には根矢涼香がコーラスや朗読で参加しており、2025年2月に三軒茶屋Orbitにて行われた両者の共演ライブにて、本作のカセットテープバージョンが先行リリースされました（50本限定生産）Following the EP “Psukhe,” made with actor Ryoka Neya in 2024, Neya joins this album on backing vocals and spoken word. A cassette version of the album was released ahead of the general release at the two artists' joint live show at Orbit in Sangenjaya in February 2025 (limited to 50 copies).

なお、根矢涼香が参加する最終トラック「shepku」はカセットテープバージョン限定の収録となっています。Note that the final track, “shepku,” featuring Ryoka Neya, is included only on the cassette version.
