After Wool Strings and Ryoka Neya released the collaboration album “attic plans” in 2021, the two stayed in touch.

Ryoka Neya wrote the lyrics and composed by humming, to which Wool Strings added further melodies and arrangements, and so on, like branches and leaves gradually sprouting until they grow into a great tree. Following that kind of process, this work, “Psukhe,” was born.

Moonlight, life dwelling beneath the surface of the lake
The murmur of a river, the presence of birds
At the journey's end, creatures changing form

With these things in mind, we recorded slowly over about a year, quietly and at times boisterously.

The artwork is by 水夜子, a cat-loving friend of Ryoka Neya.

Even after this release of the songs on streaming services, we plan to develop this work in various forms. Please look forward to it.
